You are motivated by working with internal processes and proactively handling business risk. You are an excellent communicator and manage to make well-balanced decisions taking different business, people, and ethical perspectives into consideration. As a Risk and Compliance person, you like to lead by example, cooperate cross-functionally, and have an eagerness to do right. You have a structured methodology when it comes to analyzing and identifying rules and procedures both internally and from a legal perspective, and by that creating a holistic risk-based approach.

You have a thorough knowledge of how to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment, along with an in-depth understanding of how to set up a plan or framework for programmers and work structures to meet the standards set by government laws and regulations as well as internal IKEA policies.
We additionally prefer that you have; • University-level education or proven knowledge within risk management. Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in the field of risk management and/or business operations. • Excellent stakeholder management skills: good communication, active listening, and influencing skills. • Come from a retail-oriented risk operation.
As IKEA Denmark’s Operational Risk Management Leader you will ensure compliance and proactiveness by making sure that priorities are well accepted and understood by the business stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and treated, and by doing so, safeguarding our co-workers, customer, assets, and the IKEA brand.
Your assignments will be varied, and will entail – but not be limited to: • Support the delivery of the new ERM risk management framework and facilitate its continuous application, operation, and improvement. • Ensure IKEA’s strategic risk register is continuously updated and maintained, ensuring an accurate and up-to-date representation of the organization's risk profile. • Conduct and facilitate tactical and operational risk assessment, develop, and monitor risk mitigation. • Create country-specific operational risk and compliance insights to identify and act on risks and business opportunities. • Partner up with the business to deliver subject matter expertise and guidance to provide support and secure operational excellence throughout the country. • Secure the right competence and knowledge in units and country organizations by facilitating learning activities and competence networks. • Lead and inspire a risk and compliance performance mindset, raise risk awareness, and promote a risk culture and thereby supporting growth and maximization of business value.

You will be part of a team of 3 at the Service Office (Head Office in Denmark) and also work closely together with stakeholders in IKEA Denmark’s units. We are therefore a diverse group of people who work together to protect and strengthen the INGKA/IKEA brand and business through our focus on risk management, compliance, business operations, health, and safety.
